Eagle Lake Island Lodge is looking for a full-time seasonal Housekeeper-Server to live and work on site in beautiful Sunset Country. This position would start immediately and end in early October.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and personable individual to join our team at a remote Island fishing lodge on Eagle Lake near Dryden, Ontario. This role combines housekeeping and food service responsibilities to help provide guests with a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable experience. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a remote setting, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and providing friendly customer service as part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities:

Housekeeping

• Clean and prepare guest cabins before arrival and after departure.
• Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels and guest amenities.
• Clean bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas to a high standard.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize the cabin including the bathroom, living area, and bedrooms.
• Report maintenance issues or damaged equipment to management.
• Maintain housekeeping supplies and assist with inventory as needed.

Food Service

• Assist with meal preparation and presentation under the direction of the kitchen manager & breakfast supervisor.
• Set up and clear dining tables before and after meals.
• Serve meals and beverages in a friendly and professional manner.
• Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with stocking food and supplies.

General Duties

• Provide friendly, attentive service to lodge guests.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist with other lodge duties as required, including laundry and light maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping, hospitality, restaurant, or customer service experience is an asset but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, speed, and organizational skills.
• Excellent work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) on occasion and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable living and working in a remote location for extended periods.
• Food Safe certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain).

Working Conditions:

• Seasonal position in a remote fishing lodge.
• Room and board is provided. This is a live on site position
• Long hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Physically active role requiring standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
