Server / Kitchen Assistant

French River, Ontario

We are seeking a motivated, friendly, and detail-oriented individual to join our team for the upcoming season. This position plays an important role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests while supporting the overall kitchen operations.

Dining Hall Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally
• Present menus, make recommendations, and answer guest questions
• Serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• Set up tables prior to each meal service
• Clean and reset tables and chairs following each meal
• Maintain a clean, organized dining hall in accordance with sanitation and safety standards

Kitchen Responsibilities

• Assist the chef with food preparation
• Perform daily kitchen cleaning duties
• Maintain clean and organized staff kitchen areas
• Assist with inventory control and supply organization

Requirements & Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively and develop positive working relationships with staff
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Previous hospitality or food service experience is an asset, though we are happy to train the right candidate

Compensation & Employment Details

• $20 per hour, plus gratuities
• Accommodation and meals are provided at no additional charge
• Because we are located on a private island, kitchen staff are required to stay on-site for a minimum of five days per week
• The kitchen operates on split shifts to accommodate scheduled meal times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
