Your Potential Employer: Birch Point Camp on Nungesser Lake
Job Description:
Seasonal position at a remote fishing camp located two hours north of Red Lake, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy outdoor work, providing great guest service, and experiencing life at a secluded camp only accessible via river. As a Camp Helper/Dock Hand, you’ll play an essential role in helping us maintain the camp, assist guests, and ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with guest services, including greeting guests, helping at the dock, and transporting guests to and from camp via the river.
- Perform daily camp chores, including trash removal, tree trimming, mowing grass, and maintaining facilities.
- Refuel boats and ensure they are ready for use.
- Complete housekeeping tasks such as stripping and remaking beds, cleaning cabins, sweeping, doing laundry, and cleaning refrigerators.
- Help with various labor-intensive tasks, including moving materials in and out of the camp.
- Assist with special projects as required.
Skills Required:
- Must be 17 or older.
- Ability to work in a remote, outdoor environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to customer service.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Previous experience in boating, housekeeping, or outdoor work is a plus, but not required.
- This position frequently involves physical work, including lifting and moving heavy materials. Must be able to lift 23 kg frequently, 45 kg occasionally, but not repetitively.
- Work can be physically demanding at times, requiring stamina and attention to detail.
Accommodations: Provided
Contract Length: Around May 1, 2026-Sept. 19, 2026
Hours of work per week: 40-45
Wage: Salary range $750-1100/week
