Job Description:

Seasonal position at a remote fishing camp located about two hours north of Red Lake, Ontario. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, helping guests, and living at a wilderness camp that is accessible only by river. The Dock Hand / Camp Assistant supports daily camp operations and helps ensure guests have a great stay.

Duties include greeting guests, assisting at the dock, transporting guests by boat, refueling boats, and preparing them for use. Camp tasks include trash removal, mowing, trimming trees, and general property upkeep. Housekeeping responsibilities include cleaning cabins, remaking beds, laundry, sweeping, and cleaning refrigerators. The position may also involve moving supplies and assisting with other camp projects when needed.

Applicants must be 17 or older and comfortable working in a remote outdoor setting. Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and teamwork are important. Experience with fishing, boating, housekeeping, general construction or outdoor work is helpful but not required.

The job includes physical work. Applicants should be able to frequently lift up to 23 kg and occasionally up to 45 kg. Work can be physically demanding at times.
