Fishing Guide:
Pay – $4,300-$4,400 depending on experience
Job Type – Full time/Seasonal (mid-May to end of Sept.)Job description:
As a remote fishing lodge located on Lac Seul we are looking for a full time fishing guide for
the season. The job entails:
– lead guided fishing trips for guests on Lac Seul
– ability to fillet fish, prepare a shore lunch
– assist guests of all skill levels, providing instruction as needed
– help with camp opening and closing
– room and board are availableRequirements:
– experience freshwater fishing for different types of species; walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass and musky
– Pleasure craft boat operator’s certification
– experience operating a fishing boat and motor in large water
– good communication skills
– Candidates should have a passion for the outdoors, a positive attitude, and a focus on customer satisfaction
– be able to tolerate living in a remote location and working long days, up to 60hrs/wk
– current first aid and CPR certificate
– Must be able to work flexible hours; mornings, evenings, weekends and holidaysCandidates must be able to live and work in a remote wilderness setting as part of a team.
Lodge Cook:
Pay – $4,300 -$4,500 depending on experience
Job Type: Seasonal and Full Time (mid-May to end of Sept.)
Shift and schedule: weekends, mornings, evenings, split shiftsJob Description:
– Requires flexibility and initiative to deal with changing daily requirements.
– Cooking all meals and managing food service (includes clean-up and dishes)
– Managing food inventory, including proper storage and handling of frozen and fresh foods
– Working with food items available and utilizing leftovers
– Season opening and closing of facilities
– Keeping the kitchen spotless and organized
– Preparing and submitting weekly food ordersRequirements:
– Previous experience providing breakfast and supper for a large group of people is required
– Room and board available
– Must be eligible to work in Canada
– Must be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, split shifts, 6 days per week –day off will be determined by daily operations
– Requires food handling certification for ability to complete certificationCandidates must be able to live and work in a remote wilderness setting as part of a team. This is a remote location on an island.
