Northern Ontario Tourism Summit

Coming to Thunder Bay – November 21-23, 2022

Destination Northern Ontario and Nature and Outdoor Tourism Ontario are excited to announce the 2022 Northern Ontario Tourism Summit is back in Thunder Bay, Ontario this fall.

Building on 80+ years of successful fall conferences for the outfitting sector, the Northern Ontario Tourism Summit was developed as a partnership event between Nature and Outdoor Tourism Ontario and Destination Northern Ontario to bring together tourism businesses, organizations and suppliers as well as all levels of government at a single event to find solutions to challenges facing the industry.

The Northern Ontario Tourism Summit held its premiere event in November of 2014 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Attendance at the first summit exceeded all expectations with just over 300 registered delegates. Since its premiere year in Thunder Bay, the event has been held across the North in Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury and Timmins with a steady number of attendees each year. The Northern Ontario Tourism Summit is quickly becoming a pivotal platform for the advancement of the tourism industry in Northern Ontario.

“Thunder Bay is excited to welcome our tourism colleagues and partners from across Northern Ontario this November for the first in person Northern Ontario Tourism Summit in three years.” said Paul Pepe, Manager, Tourism Thunder Bay. “We can’t wait to share best practices and extend our special brand of Thunder Bay hospitality to all as we celebrate our tourism successes, learn from the challenges of the past two years and capitalize upon our collective future potential together.”

This year, the Northern Ontario Tourism Summit will be presented as a hybrid model, which means you have the opportunity to join us in person, or online from the comfort of your office. As the safety of the tourism industry remains a top priority while ensuring we deliver the most up to date and valuable information, the summit will limit the number of in person delegates to 250.

We look forward to seeing you in Thunder Bay this November!
