 Ted Putnam is the owner/operator of Hawk Lake Lodge in Kenora, Ontario. Upon taking ownership six years ago, Ted took his passion and knowledge of fly-fishing and aggressively promoted the lodge to fly-fishermen. Hawk Lake Lodge has since been endorsed by Orvis, the world’s premier fly fishing company. One of only 8 lodges in the country (and 40 in the world) with such an endorsement, Hawk Lake Lodge attracts hundreds of fly fishermen annually targeting 5 different sport fish on the fly. Ted manages a staff of fly-fishing guides (as well as guides himself) and actively promotes fly fishing via print media and television shows each summer. Just last year Hawk Lake Lodge was a finalist for the world’s top fly-fishing lodge.
