On behalf of the NOTO Board and Staff we wish to extend our wishes for safety and protection for those tourism operators across the province that are being affected by the rampant forest fires in Ontario.
We are hearing reports of evacuations and smoke covered skies in several parts of the province. According to MNR, 20 new fires were reported yesterday bringing the total number of fires burning in the province to 112. We sincerely hope that our industry friends, their guests and businesses are kept safe from any devastation.
