Canadian Federation of Outfitter Associations Conducting National Economic Study on Hunting and Fishing – We Need Your Input!
Through NOTO’s work with the Canadian Federation of Outfitter Associations (CFOA) we take issues of a federal nature to Canadian Parliament. Over the last couple of years, we have heard from members of parliament that support hunting and fishing that we need to supply them with economic numbers to help them move issues forward for us.
As a result of this request, and our own needs to support the efforts of our organization and province, CFOA with financial support from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency will be moving ahead with a national economic impact study. Southwick Associates will be conducting the survey on behalf of the CFOA over the next few months.
We are finalizing the content of the survey now and we urge all of our members as well as non-members to participate in this survey. We need to measure the economic contributions that outfitters make to the Canadian national and provincial economies. We know from experience that our industry’s contributions are significant but clearly presenting them in a report that is supported by current data will go a long way in raising awareness within Government at all levels.
Please watch your emails for details about this very important survey in the coming months. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
