Hello Fellow NOTO Members,
Spring is finally looking like it is getting the upper hand on the long, tough winter that we have endured. The unpredictable rhetoric the world has seen from a confused President has become the new state of the way things will be for awhile. The fortunate thing for industry is that once again it has sparked domestic interest like the pandemic. This time we are ready and more than prepared to accommodate Canadian guests. I also have not seen any signs of this situation deterring our faithful long time US guests. The strong American dollar also provides value for any American coming north. I believe that this will be a stellar year for our industry.
The Provincial election, now decided, allows us to continue to work on areas where we have made headway. With familiar faces and new ones, the mutual cooperation will allow us to find solutions that enhance outdoor tourism in Northern Ontario. I also encourage all operators to get out and influence the outcome of our Federal election. We need to be responsible and vote. Our veterans sacrificed everything so that each and everyone of us can have a choice.
I also urge you to continue to support NOTO as we are there for our members. For those who are not, it is time to step up and be apart of an organization advocating for Outdoor Tourism in Northern Ontario. Be at the bow of the boat, not lost in the wake.
Your NOTO President,
Bob Garson
