| New AODA Webpage on NOTO’s Website – Make Sure Your Business Meets Accessibility Requirements
Prior to the holidays, NOTO Staff attended a webinar hosted by TIAO on the Accessibility for Ontarian’s with Disabilities Act (AODA) which was presented by Rory Burke, AODA Director of the Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility. During this webinar, the it was mentioned that Tourism will be one of the Ministry’s areas of focus in the coming year and they provided tips and tricks for tourism operators to reach compliance.
In addition to the notes taken during this presentation, NOTO staff member Kate searched the Government’s websites, resources, checklists, the Act, and also took all of the Access Forward training to compile a clear list of the requirements for businesses, in addition to providing operators with links to the resources that may help them reach compliance.
