SPRING BEAR HUNT OFFICIAL
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has finally announced the expansion of the Spring bear hunt pilot for the next five years beginning this Spring.
NOTO is pleased that the Ministry is moving forward with this pilot. It will assist with the nuisance bear issues as well as bring substantial economic return to our northern communities.
NOTO has been advocating for years that a properly regulated Spring bear hunt is a sound management tool for black bear as well as other wildlife species like moose.
