Northern Ontario Tourism Summit Workshops Offer Great Savings
The 2015 Northern Ontario Tourism Summit is right around the corner. In addition to the full agenda of keynote presenters, information sessions and practical workshops, we want to make sure that you are aware of the tremendous savings and opportunities that we are offering through our Pre and Post summit training workshops.   Each workshop is being offered at only $25 each.  This represents in some cases a 90% discount!!  We encourage you to review these opportunities and sign up as soon as possible.  All workshops have limited space.
Pre-Summit Training Workshops & Optional Activities on November 16th, 2015
Service Excellence OTEC Course
9am to 4:30pm

OTEC’s flagship customer service workshop, Service Excellence, developed with the most up to date service theories, best practices and tools, is a must attend program for those wishing to achieve excellence in the delivery of customer service. This dynamic, interactive and engaging one day workshop has been designed to prepare individuals with the skills and tools to create memorable service experiences resulting in customer loyalty and successful customer centric organizations.

Proactive Planning, Pricing, Promotion & Profit

This one day workshop will take tourism operators through a process for planning, pricing, forecasting revenue, expenses and profit. The sessions would provide each person with easy to follow templates and a tablet to use during the session. The content is applicable for all sizes of businesses and any business that has “perishable inventory” be that a hotel room, event ticket, attractions admission, adventure product etc. A wider approach to pricing could assist in driving additional revenues during peak times and need times.  

Hiring Outside Contractors: What you MUST have in place to protect your assets and HOW TO DO IT!

Are you or will you be outsourcing work to contractors? Septic tank, new addition or a well install to name a few.  Do you know your health and safety responsibilities as they relate to hiring outside contractors?  As the Owner and/or Constructor of a project you have the largest amount of responsibilities to ensure the safety of all workers and the public are protected while the work is underway. Through the use of various activities and checklists, you will learn about the basic elements that MUST be in place before you hire a contractor.

Tour of Sault Ste. Marie

Bus will pick up and drop off participants at the Quattro Hotel & Conference Centre
Participants will take an organized bus tour that will include visits to Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site where they will have the opportunity to taste some fresh made stone baked bread and tour the museum, the Bush Plane Museum which will include a local craft beer tasting, and the Art Gallery of Algoma where they will conclude their tour with a little wine and cheese sampling and a Group of Seven discussion.

Coaching For Excellence OTEC Course

This interactive and engaging workshop will provide managers with the coaching skills and best practice tools to increase individual team member and overall organizational performance. Managers will gain a solid understanding of leadership techniques that will enable them to effectively develop, motivate and manage their team to achieve enhanced results.
