The Georgian Bay Destination Development Partnership is seeking a Tourism Coordinator. The Tourism Coordinator will undertake tasks related to destination development and tourism marketing.

Together Heather and Rob will be presenting on the topic “Getting the Most from Your Social Media Efforts.” They will do a review of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pintrest, Instagram, and Trip Advisor), sharing content, building your audience and branding online.

This presentation will promote safety at all levels of your business regardless of the size by promoting the Internal Responsibility System (IRS). It will accomplish this by discussing the Occupational Health and Safety Act and some of the duties of employers under the Act. There will be a review of the "Remote Camps Initiative" conducted within the northern region this past summer.

The CBSA is responsible for providing integrated border services that support national security and public safety priorities and facilitate the free flow of persons and goods, including animals and plants that meet all requirements under the program legislation.

Tourism is about creating and delivering experiences that are meaningful and memorable for the participant while at the same time achieving business/organization viability and sustainability.

In his career, he has won 13 gold medals, a number of challenge trophies, and several awards including Chef of the Year from the Association of Chef de Cuisine, outstanding service and faculty Award for Excellence in teaching from Confederation College, NISOD Teaching Excellence Award from the University of Texas. Tim had a weekly show on CBC radio for 21 years and has written over 500 articles on food preparation and cooking.
