So many “city folk” dream of the “easy life”.

Of leaving the big city, crime, traffic, pollution, and high-pressure jobs behind to spend the rest of their years owning and operating a tourist camp.

The perfect life - and 100% stress free!

Not really.

As you are already aware, owning a lodge doesn’t mean sunny skies, sleeping in and fishing all day. Owning a lodge means hard work, long hours and stress- lots of it. Especially at this time of year.

Although stress and tension are necessary for success, too much stress isn’t good for you, in fact it can be harmful to both your physical and mental well-being.

There is no proven way to measure what is too much stress because it is also personalized, but if stress is affecting your life negatively, making you so worried, tense and frustrated that you can’t relax- it’s too much.

Medical experts say we need to understand how to cope with that kind of stress.

Stress affects everything you do. It can affect how well you sleep at night, how alert and energetic you are during the day, and how optimistic or pessimistic you are about your life itself.

Stress is caused by changes that occur too fast creating tension and anxiety. To eliminate stress, a specific program is needed to deal with three important areas in life: Diet, Exercise, and Sleeping Well.

When our bodies are exposed to prolonged stress and not allowed enough time to recover, we can become exhausted, which can lead to other problems such as migraine headaches and high blood pressure.
